Rick Ross Sued by Talent Agency, 2 Chainz Found Not Guilty

Rick Ross has been sued for $171,000 allegedly failing to pay his longtime talent agency Total Access Talent their commission for tour dates they set up for the troubled rapper.
Rick Ross is having his worst month ever. After losing a $5 million dollar check from Reebok, Ross is now being sued by a Miami-based talent agency that alleges the rapper flaked out on paying for shows the company booked for Rozay.
In the lawsuit, Total Access Talent says after being hired to book month-long shows for Ross in Florida, the rapper failed to pay the 10% commission as agreed upon. According to the company, the Geechi Liberace owes at least $171,000.
In related Ross news, Rocko has confirmed that the rapper will be on another official remix for “U.O.E.N.O.,” the same record that got Da Bawse in hot water over controversial rape lyrics that eventually led to him being dropped from Reebok.

2 Chainz not guilty
2 Chainz has been found not guilty of drug charges stemming from a February 14 arrest for possession of marijauna and paraphernalia,
2 Chainz was acquitted of drug charges Wednesday following his February arrest on suspicion of possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia

The Grammy-nominated "No Lie" rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was arrested on Valentine's Day after police said they observed 2013 Ford E-350 van speeding en route to a concert at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He and the six other occupants were ordered out of the vehicle when cops reportedly smelled marijuana in the van. Police said 2 Chainz was arrested after they found a marijuana grinder and traces of marijuana in a bag he said he owned, the Baltimore Sun
Epps, 35, was cited for having drug paraphernalia and marijuana and was released, but not before he posed for a photo with Maryland police officers.
At the time and during the trial, Harold Folsome Jr., a security guard, took responsibility for the grinder, which was found in a gray bag inside Epps' bag, according to the Star Democrat. Still, Folsome said the device did not belong to him. He was responsible for packing Epps' bag and put the gray bag in it, he said, but three other people were in the same hotel suite gathering items before the group hurriedly headed out to the performance.

"Whoever left it in the room, I guess that's who it belonged to," Folsome said during the trial. "When I saw what it was, I knew what I did."
Epps' defense attorney said that there was no evidence to prove the gray bag belonged to his client.
A judge in Easton Md. then found the rapper not guilty on both charges. Epps also was found not guilty of possession of paraphernalia “Boxing gloves I beat the trial," 2 Chainz later tweeted

'Beyonce Is Not A Role Model' Letter Questions Singer's Portrayal Of Success

Beyonce Is Not A Role Moden

Not everyone is happy to "bow down" to Beyonce.
Last week, Rakhi Kumar wrote an open letter to Michelle Obama explaining why she doesn't consider Beyonce a good role model for young women. Kumar's concerns revolve around the singer's sexualized clothing and the focus on her body in her music and performance, which she believes sends the wrong message to girls about attaining success. Kumar wrote to Obama in light of reports that the First Lady considers Beyonce a good role model for her own daughters.
"It's time that young girls were sent a different message," Kumar wrote. "A more refined, intelligent message. A message that engaged them at the level of their intellect and potential because implicit in our message to them should be the acknowledgement that they are naturally brilliant and that we believe that they are capable of everything - without ever having to undress to achieve their success."
Beyonce, who recently kicked off her "Mrs. Carter" world tour wearing a gold sequined bodysuit complete with faux nipples, is one of the 2013 TIME 100. At the age of 31 she has earned an estimated $40 million dollars. She is clearly an accomplished businesswoman and talented singer, but is her success a step forward for women?
Canadian singer Grimes thinks so. In a February 2013 Tumblr post, the artist wrote: "How can you hate Beyoncé? She's changing the world. She stands for people of colour and women everywhere succeeding in a stifling patriarchy without compromising her morals."
Beyonce herself has said that she is unsure about describing herself as a feminist, causing Maureen O'Connor at New York Magazine to ask: "A woman who has worked so hard to cultivate an image of independence and strength, is terrified of one little word? Why?"
However, Beyonce's reluctance to label herself doesn't mean she isn't invested in female empowerment and independence. She's involved in the Chime for Change project, and regularly tells her daughter Blue Ivy that she could grow up to be president one day.
Do you think Beyonce is a good role model for girls? comment"

“I’m the female version of my dad – Dominique Oputa says

IMG_9033Dominique Oputa is the last child of the areafada himself, Charly Boy. She currently lives in Atlanta where she’s studying Fashion and Design in the University of Arts Institute. Her dream is to become a famous designer some day. Like her famous dad, Dominique has tattoos and piercings and is very fearless. In this interview with New Wave Productions, she talks about her life in the US, her father and his influence in her life. See it after the cut…

Are you happy to be home; would you settle in Nigeria or you would finally settle abroad?
This will always be home for me, at least, it’s comforting to know one is with family, and I am glad to be home. I missed home, mum and dad. Things may not be what it should be, but home is it. There were too many things I took for granted before I left, but now I know better. When I’m done with schooling, I will be back home, to do my own thing too, even though, the weather is killing me right now”.
You are a child of two different cultures, how do you cope?
When I was home, I grew up fast; I had that independent spirit, so I’m coping real good. I am working now and schooling, I simply just thank God. Growing up with my parents kept me on the straight and narrow path, trust Dad, we all know how strict he gets sometimes, although I am old enough, I guess in his eyes, I will forever remain his baby. However growing up in Nigeria, prepared me for my independence. Nigerian children are more grounded than the Americans. We mature quicker and early enough to start taking responsibilities.

I am happy that my son is dead, he was a serial robber: says woman (41)
I am happy that my son is dead, he was a serial robber: says woman (41)WHEN Nozipho got the call that her son had died from stab wounds she felt no pain.

At only 17, the teenager had died the way he had lived – as a gang member who had robbed, stolen and done battle on the streets.

"I AM HAPPY THAT MY SON IS DEAD. I cried no tears. I felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I knew my son's days were numbered because of the way he lived. I pleaded with him to stop stealing and robbing people but he wouldn't listen," said Nozipho Nyovane (41), the mother of three from Browns Farm in Philippi.

Her firstborn, Aphiwe Nyovane, was a Vura gang member for more than two years.  The grade 8 drop-out from Intsebenziswano High School in Philippi was stabbed and killed at Ngulube circle by the rival gang group amaVato on Saturday. Aphiwe was found by passersby with several deep cut wounds on his head.

"I went to see him in the mortuary and he had been beaten badly. His head was cut open. They had struck him with kitchen knives and pangas," said Nozipho.

She said she was not surprised that her son had died violently.

"I knew Aphiwe's days were numbered because of the way he lived. I pleaded for him to stop stealing and robbing people but he wouldn't listen," said Nozipho.

The unemployed mother said the people he stole from used to come to her house and beat her up for the sins of her son.

"I have been punched and beaten because my son was a thief and a gangster. Other people took my belongings, saying he had stolen from them. But that is a thing of the past. I will sleep better at night," she said.

Aphiwe had left the house earlier in the evening and said he was going to see his friends but before leaving the house he sang and danced with his youngest brother and told him he was going to be back soon. But he never came back.

"Last year he had an operation because of the head wounds he sustained whilst fighting with other gangsters. That time he survived," said the mother.

Captain Frederick Van Wyk said a case of murder is being investigated.

"It is alleged the deceased and his friends were chased by other young boys. His friends managed to flee but he was unfortunately caught and killed by the suspects," said Van Wyk.

Prophet Uebert Angel performs miracle sex change, baby's privates changed from female to male
Prophet Uebert Angel performs miracle sex change, baby's privates changed from female to maleHeadlining the five-day Prophetic Nights segment of this year's Gaining Mastery In Life (GMIL) Conference organised by El Shaddai World Ministries Mega Church led by Apostles Charles and Juliana Magaiza, Prophet Uebert Angel, whom Apostle Charles Magaiza formally acknowledged as his 'Spiritual Father', did not waste time in hyping up the bumper crowd of worshippers who had braved a chilly Joburg night and had traversed the length and breadth of the bustling Joburg Metropolitan to come and receive their share of miracles.

He started his sermon by declaring that it was going to be a night of worship and prophecy and this was greeted with wild applause from the worshippers. In his biblical teachings, Prophet Uebert Angels taught the worshippers the importance of belonging to a bible-believing church if they are to benefit from the 'miracles' that God had in plan for them throughout this year.

He encouraged worshippers to attend churches which had a prophetic anointing (such as his and Prophet Makandiwa's) and recognised the good work being done his hosts in saving souls and spreading the word of God in South Africa.

Then came prophecy time which everyone was looking forward to and Prophet Uebert Angel and his wife Prophetess Beverly Angel lived up to the top billing. One young man, who appeared to be a South Africa citizen, received a highly acclaimed prophecy of a successful ministry targeting the youth of South Africa.

A couple was also granted a 'miracle sex change' of their unborn child. Prophet Uebert Angel granted the wife's request for a baby girl and declared that sex of the boy had been miraculously changed from boy to girl. Prophet Uebert Angel even pledged to give the couple money for a scan to confirm this miracle much to the amazement of worshippers.

The highlight of the eclectic night was when Prophet Angel declared 'miracle fuel' to all motorists in the congregation. He began by asking how many within the congregation had come to the event driving and proceeded to make a declaration.

"I am declaring miracle fuel for you tonight. Some of you will see that you now have 'full', 'half' and 'quarter' fuel in your tanks depending on where it was before", declared Angel much to the delight of the motorists.

Prophet Angel promised worshippers more miracles throughout this week and pledged to perform his highly controversial 'miracle weight-loss' in which anyone can experience instant weight loss.

The man of God even urged all skeptics of this particular miracle to bring their own scales to prove that this was not a stage-managed miracle gimmick.

The Gaining Mastery In Life Conference ends on 28 April 2013 and has an exciting line-up of speakers such as Pastor Dr Shingi Munyeza, Pastor Lovemore Nyatsine and Apostles Charles and Juliana Magaiza among others.

How 2 Chainz Is Killing His Brand

Joseph Okpako, WireImage
On any day of the week it seems like there are more than a handful of songs featuring 2 Chainz making their onto the Internet. It's ridiculous.

Has 2 Chainz sold out? Probably, but you can hardly blame him, even if his Instagram photos are more exciting than his career these days. The guy has definitely been through the music industry wringer.

Successful as he is now, you have to keep in mind that this isn't the Atlanta-bred rapper's first rodeo. He was previously in Playaz Circle, a group on Ludacris's DTP imprint, and managed to surf the Lil Wayne hook wave at the precise moment with "Duffle Bag Boys." The song became a smash and Playaz Circle's debut, Supply & Demand, sold relatively well. Then the hit records dried up and the group's follow-up LP, Flight 360: The Takeoff, bombed.

While many doubted that a Tity Boi solo career would take off, a spectacular grassroots marketing campaign -- including the wise decisions to ditch the Tity Boy name for 2 Chainz, and to carefully study Lil B videos -- allowed his workman-like approach to help him somehow acquire the top spot in rap.

But that sort of fame comes with a price -- now everyone wants in on the 2 Chainz brand. And it's getting out of hand. From questionable features to random TV appearances, here are 5 things 2 Chainz has recently done that are tragically uncool and downright silly.

1. B. Smyth "Leggo" Feat. 2 Chainz

It takes a certain type of superstar aura to pull off the jacket with no shirt underneath look. An aura B. Smyth simply does not possess. From the Jeremy Scott winged hat to the weak not-quite-on-point 90s-style choreography, this is a fail from the jump. But that's just B.Smyth. What about 2 Chainz? A dead give away that 2 Chainz is only giving 50% here -- the mere fact he only bothered to wear one chain in the video.

2. Fall Out Boy "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up Re)"mix

Perfect example of what happens when successful people in the music industry just give up. Fall Out Boy owned the emo-rock era. Then Pete Wentz began concentrating on being a tabloid star, wifed up Ashlee Simpson, had a kid, and got divorced. FOB thought they could race back to popularity, probably forgetting that their fan base had grown up and are now people who are ashamed of once-liking Fall Out Boy. What was the solution from the best and brightest of the music industry? Simple. Need more 2 Chainz! First, throw the guy in a music video for no apparent reason, and then obviously put him on the remix. Marketing brilliance!

2 Chainz Food Instagram That Is Cooler Than This: Brunch

3. PSY "Gangnam Style (Remix) Feat. 2 Chainz and Tyga

Why is Tity Boi on the official Diplo remix of "Gangam Style"? It doesn't really make sense to be identifying oneself with being in the trap one second, and then the next you are on the remix for a Korean pop artist that non-confrontational people think is very cool. You're either in the trap or you're in South Korea. It can't be both at the same time bruh.

2 Chainz Food Instagram That Is Cooler Than This: Lobster, Scallops, Rice and Garlic Green Beans

4. Travi$ Scott "Upper Echelon" Feat. T.I. and 2 Chainz

To make a long story really short -- Travi$ (don't forget the $ sign) Scott is a relatively new rapper who put on a Givenchy shirt then copy-and-pasted his whole style from more popular artists such as 2 Chainz and Kanye West. While Travis pretends to be really progressive and original the industry people he's signed with realize that artists like 2 Chainz need to feature on his music so people outside of the "scene" will care about him. Unfortunately this type of ploy is obvious to anyone even remotely paying attention to rap, and 2 Chainz looks all that much worse for affiliating himself.

2 Chainz Food Instagram That Is Cooler Than This: Benihana Issues

5. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Feat. 2 Chainz

First it was 2 Broke Girls and now it's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. TV money is good money, and True Religion suits are expensive, but heaven forbid this becomes a trend. Unless he's putting in an appearance on Game of Thrones. Then we're all in.

Obama Family Tattoo: If Malia And Sasha Get Inked, The President And First Lady Will Too

President Obama says he and the first lady have a strategy to discourage their daughters from ever getting tattoos.
He told "Today Show" anchor Savannah Guthrie they've already warned Sasha and Malia there will be consequences should they decide they want to get inked.
"If you guys ever decided you’re going to get a tattoo, then mommy and me will get the exact same tattoo, in the same place. And we’ll go on YouTube and show it off as a family tattoo," the president said he tells his daughters. "And our thinking is that might dissuade them from thinking that somehow that’s a good way to rebel."
During the conversation that aired on "Today" Wednesday morning, President Obama also addressed his wife's earlier slip-up when she called herself a single mother. He said as a person who frequently makes verbal flubs of his own, he was inclined to cut "my wife or anyone some slack" in such cases.
"There’s no doubt that there’ve been times where Michelle probably felt like a single mom. I know that before we got here, when I was running for the U.S. senate, when I was running for president, there were times when I wouldn't see her for a week, and she was still working and having to look after the girls. She definitely, I think, understands the burdens that women in particular tend to feel if they're both responsible for child rearing and they're responsible for working at the same time," he explained.
In the video above, skip to 1:15 to hear more about the Obama family, mom dancing, and Gangnam Style at the White House.

Chaos at funeral as Epworth family buries WRONG body
Chaos at funeral as Epworth family buries WRONG bodyIdentification boobs have seen a Harare funeral parlour releasing a corpse to the wrong people for burial.

The body of Tinashe Katena was buried in Epworth on Saturday when Kuwadzana Funeral Services released it into the wrong hands. The bereaved Katena family realised the blander on Sunday after they visited the parlour to collect the body of six weeks old Tinashe who had been given to the Mudzimu family for burial at Zinyengere Cemetery in Epworth.

The Katena family demanded that their relative be exhumed for reburial, a wish which was granted on Monday at around 3pm. What irked both families was the parlour's failure to give proper tags to the corpses, leading to them dispatching the wrong body.

The body os a six weeks old Tinashe Katena was buried by the wrong family in place of 12 weeks old Wayne Mudzimu after the Mudzimu family wrongly identified their body.

Katena family spokesperson Jackson Kanoyangwa said they will only allow the Mudzimu family to collect their body when the palour exhumes Tinashe's body.

"They are not going to dispatch the body until they exhume the corpse they claim belongs to us after they failed to locate our corpse. It is unbelievable to note that their undertakers dispatched the wrong body. To us that is very unprofessional and we believe it was caused by employing someone who is unable to read and write.

"The parlour did not let us know on time after they discovered the mistake and they asked us to come and collect the body. I hired cars to ferry mourners to the parlour only to be told that they are failing to locate the body, giving us unnecessary expenses," he said.

When reporters visited Kuwadzana Funeral Services on Monday, both families were by the palour processing documentation for exhumation of Tinashe's body.

The late Wayne's mother, Kelly Mugariwa (24) said her husband, Willard Mudzimu, failed to identify the body.

"My husband is the one who failed to identify the body after I was asked by one of our grandmothers to remain behind. The palour is to blame for this boob. Unfortunately those who accompanied my husband did not know the child. My son died at home on Friday and we took the body to Harare Central Hospital for post mortem and the documentation was delayed. I was shocked on Sunday when I received a call from the palour telling us that we have buried the wrong body," said Kelly.

Both families had no kind words for the palour as they waited for the processing of the exhumation papers after a report was made at Southerton Police Station.

Unconfirmed reports say Tinashe's body was finally reburied at Graneville Cemetery (KuMbudzi) yesterday and Wayne's body at Zinyengere Cemetery in Epworth.

Tinashe died at Budiriro Clinic on Saturday before the body was mistakenly buried the same day in Epworth.

Kuwadzana Funeral Services could not give their side of the story after efforts to get a comment from one of its top brass, identified as Mrs Mukanganise, were unsuccessful.

"Mrs Mukanganise is busy at the moment and she will come back to you later," said one of the staff members who was by the reception.

Gang Assassinate Lagos DJ In Public

olamide181The residents of Bank Olemoh Street, Surulere, Lagos, were terrified on Monday when two gunmen shot dead Olamide George, a 25-year-old DJ.
According to eyewitnesses, the assassination was carried out at about 2pm while George was with friends under a tree, popularly known as Abe Igi.
When Punch Metro visited Bank Olemoh Street on Tuesday, police vehicles were seen patrolling the street.
Two residents, who pleaded anonymity, said the deceased was an ‘internet businessman’. One of them said the likely motivation for his assassination was a N2 million deal he just concluded.
They added George just rented and furnished an apartment at Apapa Road.
It was learnt that just before his murder, George reportedly answered a phone call, and the caller requested to know where he was. George answered that he was at Abe Igi.
George’s father, Mr. Gbolahan George, said, “I was told that the assassins were four and were in Keke Maruwa (tricycle). They parked at the entrance of the street; two got down and walked to where Olamide was sitting with his friends. The one with the gun did not know him, so the other person who accompanied him pointed at Olamide.
“Immediately Olamide was identified, he was shot in the head and the chest.”
“I was called around 2:30pm and was told that my son’s body was at the morgue in Lagos University Teaching Hospital. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. I reported the case at Area C Police Command.”
Gbolahan George said his son was not of a dubious character.
“He is a DJ, and not a scammer. And he is very gentle and pleasant. He wanted to write JAMB and get into Lagos State University.
“Olamide was also about to wed his girlfriend, Yetunde Adeyeri, who is five months pregnant before his untimely death. And that was why I gave him N500,000 to rent a one-room self-contained apartment at Apapa Road.”
Our correspondent saw family members cleaning blood stains from Olamide’s Golf Volkswagen car with number plate, LND 879 AG.
The Chairman of CDA, Bank Olemoh Street, Mr. Wilson Ojei, said, “I know Lamide as an easy young man trying to survive. Nobody had any complaints about him except for the occasional youthful exuberance, which is common among other young men in the community. From indications, the attack was not from within the community; the assassins were outsiders.
“We have been instructed by the police to cut the tree at Abe Igi.”
The police spokesperson, Lagos State, Ms. Ngozi Braide confirmed the incident.
She said, “The case was reported to Area C Police Command. We are investigating the killing and I can assure you that reasonable arrest has been made.”
