76-year-old Bulawayo prophet rapes girl (14) three times during prayer sessions

Appearing before the Western Commonage Courts, a self-proclaimed 76-year-old prophet from Iminyela Flats in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl from Pelandaba suburb purporting to be exorcising evil spirits he claimed had affected her.
Prophet Austin Moyo was not asked to plead to three counts of rape he allegedly committed last month. Moyo was remanded in custody to 23 April and advised to apply to the High Court for bail.
The girl had visited her sister who lives in the same neighborhood with Prophet Moyo when he approached her and told her that some evil spirits were following her and she needed some prayers.
The court heard that Moyo allegedly invited the girl for night prayers at his home where he allegedly raped her.
It is alleged that he raped her again the following night when the girl had come for the second session of the prayers. Prophet Moyo would allegedly leave his bed at night and sleep on the sofa near the girl who was sleeping on the floor with Moyo's daughter.
He would allegedly sneak into their blankets where he would allegedly rape her.
On the third count on Friday last week, Moyo visited the girl and invited her for another prayer session where he allegedly raped her for the third time. On Sunday, the girl told her sister about what had happened and she accompanied her to make a report to the police, leading to Moyo's arrest.

Police Van Burnt, 20 Women and Girls Raped As Hoodlums Invade Town In Delta

Police Van Burnt, 20 Women and Girls Raped As Hoodlums Invade Town In Delta

There is apprehension in Agbarha-Otor kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State following a reign of terror unleashed on the people by hoodlums in the last few days.
The Area Commander, Ughelli, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Awosola Awotinde confirmed to Saturday Vanguard that 34 persons were in police net in connection with the orgy of violence. It was gathered that no fewer than 20 women and girls, including an eight-year-old daughter of the Vicar of an Anglican church in the community were raped by the hooligans, who also set ablaze a police patrol vehicle.
A number of police officers were, at the outset, sent to the palace of the monarch of Agbarha-Otor, His Royal Majesty Richard Oghenevwogaga, Ebelle-Okorefe I, to secure the king’s abode following a breakdown of law and order in the community, Wednesday night, but rampaging hoodlums overpowered them.
At press time, last night, the monarch has relocated from the palace for safety reason, while the Area Commander, Ughelli, has reinforced security in the town. Saturday Vanguard also sighted soldiers in the troubled community.
The hooligans, numbering about 100 were angry that the monarch refused to participate in the traditional “Ekene” festival on grounds that he is a Christian.
According to our source, “they wanted the king to make sacrifice to the deity, but he refused, saying he is a Christian and they should go ahead without him contributing money or cooking for them during the feast, as some of the priests and chiefs demanded.
“His refusal to take part in the feast infuriated the hooligans, who vowed to foment trouble and they executed their mission on Wednesday, the last day of the feast. The unfortunate thing is that some chiefs even supported their rebellion,” he added.
Saturday Vanguard learnt that hoodlums allegedly expelled from the community because of their criminal escapades, started with the clergyman because it was in his church that the king held a thanksgiving service recently.
Besides raping the  clergyman’s eight-year-old daughter, hospitalized because of the incident and other girls, they also hijacked the property of people, claiming that the deity wanted them.
A community leader said, the miscreants engaged in raping of women (married and single) since the festival, which is held once every 15 years started on 27th of March. It took a worrisome dimension Wednesday night as they invaded the Church’s vicarage, destroyed and looted properties worth  thousands of naira after making the vicar and his households undergo some inhuman treatments.”
According to our source, “on their way from the vicarage, they invaded the shop of the Queen Mother of Agbarha-Otor and raided her shop; they stole wines and practically every other thing in the shop and also vandalized the freezer.”

John Legend Talks New LP, Rick Ross Rape Lyric Controversy -- EXCLUSIVE Interview

john legendIsaac Brekken, Getty Images
It's been four years since John Legend has released a new studio solo album, but it's not like Kanye West's most consistent artist has been sitting around idle.

Legend spent that time opening for Sade on her world tour, recording a collaboration album with The Roots (2010's Wake Up), getting engaged to his supermodel girlfriend Chrissy Teigen (the wedding's later this year) and doing his philanthropic work on behalf of education.

Busy as he was, Legend says none of these endeavors get in the way of recording as much as the creative process itself, and his new LP Love In The Future is due in stores June 25.

"We wrote a lot of songs and spent a lot of time on it because we wanted to get it exactly right," Legend told The Boombox in an EXCLUSIVE interview. "Sometimes your creative process takes a little longer than you think."

Read on to hear him talk about Kanye West's involvement in the new album, whether or not he's going to sing at his own wedding, and his thoughts on Rick Ross's controversial lyrics glorifying rape.

When artists come out with a new album, they either say they're trying to go back to their roots or they're trying to go in a new direction with the music. Which way are you leaning towards on Love In The Future?

In some ways we have a lot of the essence from Get Lifted and Once Again. My favorite album of mine is Once Again. It's more beautiful musically and more rich, so I definitely wanted some of that on this album. Get Lifted has a certain rawness and pure soul I love, so wanted some of those elements too. But we did want to make it new as well and not just retread, so we definitely put some new things into it, with some new producers. There's some newer sounds on there.

How involved was Kanye on this album versus your previous projects?

He was more involved in this album than he's ever been on a creative level. He's listened to everything, helped me write certain songs, helped me reproduce and remix certain things. He really got his hands dirty.

Was that something you asked him to do, to get more involved? Or did he just step up?

It was me wanting him to be involved, but also him being really excited about it. For some reason, this time, where he was in his life creatively, and what he was feeling at the time, he wanted to be more personally involved this time and I welcomed it.

From one controversial collaborator to another, let's talk about Rick Ross. He's on your album's first single, "Who Do We Think We Are." You two have made some great songs together in the past, so we can assume you are friends. What are your thoughts on the lyrics on Rocko's "U.O.E.N.O.," where he's talking about slipping a molly in a girls drink?

People have a right to get upset if you make light of what is essentially rape. Because he talks about slipping a molly into someone's champagne, people think it's a little more innocent than the vision of rape most of us have, which is you know, a violent stranger takes a woman and forces himself on her. But anytime you have sex with someone without their consent, and that includes drugging someone without their consent, without their knowledge, then it's a form of rape.

So you think he deserves the ridicule he's received?

He's not the first rapper to say some things that are terrible, and he won't be the last, and we have to be a little bit careful about over-policing artists with lyrics. Part of what makes them interesting is they're playing characters and depicting a life that may or may not be realistic. We shouldn't take every rap literally and examine it for whether or not it's a good role model or good prescription for how you live your life. I listen to rappers talk about killing all the time, and I am never going to go out and kill somebody because of it. I hear rappers talking about robbing people some of the time, and I enjoy some of it [laughs], I really do, but I'm not going to go out and rob anybody.

Right.

We shouldn't take every rapper literally, but that being said, there's no reason for a rapper to encourage rape in a song, and my advice would be to just don't do it. Rape is a serious thing that hurts a lot of people, and it's been in the news a lot with Steubenville and Republican politicians talking about it. Rightfully, people are sensitive about it now.

Michael Loccisano, Getty Images
You're involved in a lot of social and political issues, is this one of them?

It's interesting because the work I do, one of the charities I work for is called A Long Walk Home and they work with kids on sexual violence issues and rape survivors. I'm actually in touch with people who have been raped, so this issue is really important to me. I don't think anyone should make light of it in any song.

So if Rick Ross recorded those lyrics on a song with you, you would tell him to change it?

I don't really police other people on their creativity, pretty much ever. I don't say no, you can't say that, to anybody, unless it's on my song. If it's on my song, and Rick is putting out a song with me and he has the lyrics, I'd be like, "Dude, we have to change that, I can't represent that." If he's doing something on his own record, then that's on him. He's gotta bear the repercussions of it.

Okay, well onto a less controversial topic: Weddings. You're engaged, and I assume the wedding is soon, are you planning on singing at the wedding?

We have a date set and we know where it's going to be. We're not announcing it publicly, but it'll be later this year. I haven't decided what we're going to do for the music. Who knows though? Maybe I will sing.

Rick Ross, Official Statement -- Apologizes Again for Rape Lyric
Rick Ross has released an official statement about the controversy surrounded his lyrics on Rocko's song "U.O.E.N.O.," which allegedly encouraged and condone rape. The statement says:

"Before I am an artist, I am a father, a son, and a brother to some of the most cherished women in the world. So for me to suggest in any way that harm and violation be brought to a woman is one of my biggest mistakes and regrets.

As an artist, one of the most liberating things is being able to paint pictures with my words. But with that comes a great responsibility. And most recently, my choice of words was not only offensive, it does not reflect my true heart. And for this, I apologize. To every woman that has felt the sting of abuse, I apologize.

I recognize that as an artist I have a voice and with that, the power of influence. To the young men who listen to my music, please know that using a substance to rob a woman of her right to make a choice is not only a crime, it's wrong and I do not encourage it. To my fans, I also apologize if I have disappointed you. I can only hope that this sparks a healthy dialogue and that I can contribute to it."

2 Senior Zanu PF officials face 10 years in prison for stealing President Mugabe's cattle
2 Senior Zanu PF officials face 10 years in prison for stealing President Mugabe's cattleTwo senior Zanu PF officials face up to a decade in jail for stealing beasts meant for President Robert Mugabe's birthday bash.

Mike Madiro, who has been suspended as Manicaland provincial chair for a separate case involving missing diamond funds, is now appearing before a Mutare magistrate on stock theft charges. Stock theft attracts a minimum mandatory jail term of nine years.

Prosecutors are also charging the party's provincial women's league chairperson Dorothy Mabika, whom they say is an accomplice in the alleged looting.

Mugabe's birthday parties are usually a lavish affair, with hundreds being treated to free food and drinks yearly. But many of those who attended the president's birthday anniversary at Mutare's Sakubva Stadium last year went hungry.

The case, together with that of the diamond money which Madiro allegedly looted with several party accomplices, also gives a glimpse into the shenanigans going on in Zanu PF.

Police have completed investigations into the close to $1 million diamond money case, which could be brought before the courts soon. But for now, Madiro and Mabika have to defend themselves against the stock theft charges.

Madiro and Mabika yesterday appeared before provincial magistrate Lucy Anne Mungwari charged with stealing 10 head of cattle meant for Mugabe's birthday party last year. Both are out after being granted $150 bail each and will be back in court on April 22 for trial.

Additionally, Mabika is facing two separate charges of stock theft involving six head of cattle meant for Zanu PF inter-district celebrations and another of defeating or obstructing the course of justice.

She was remanded to May 2 for trial and ordered to pay $150 bail on these charges. Both Madiro and Mabika were not asked to plead when they appeared before Mungwari.

The State, led by Jane Rose Matsikidze, told the court that 49-year-old Madiro, Mabika, two years his junior, received 10 head of cattle from Zanu PF member John Chirimambowa as a donation to Mugabe's birthday bash.

According to court papers, the two, with an intention to steal, converted the beasts to their own use. It is alleged the beasts were released from farm Number 39 in Middle Sabi, Chipinge district.

The State informed the court it intends to call at least eight witnesses, among them Zanu PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa, Zanu PF national youth league boss Absolom Sikhosana, businessman and broadcaster Supa Mandiwanzira and one David Muzama.

Tinofara Hove of TK Hove and Associates is representing Madiro and Mabika.

Kim Kardashian No Makeup: Reality Star Hangs Out In Sweatshirt, Leggings Before Gym Visit (PHOTO)

Trading her stilettos for sneakers, Kim Kardashian stepped out au naturale before a gym trip this week.
Kardashian opted for no makeup and sweatpants while chatting in the driveway of her California home before hitting the gym on Tuesday morning, according to X17 Online. The E! star's growing belly could be seen peeking out from under a gray sweatshirt and clingy, black exercise pants as she munched on some instant oatmeal.
SCROLL FOR PHOTO
This was a much more relaxed look for the pregnant reality star, who had been wearing everything from jumpsuits to leather pants to skintight dresses all while pregnant with her first child with beau Kanye West.
Although she was reportedly told to take it easy after a March miscarriage scare, Kardashian continues to make regular gym trips. On April 4, she was spotted leaving the Tracy Anderson Flagship Studio in Brentwood, Calif., after a workout session, according to Just Jared.
The 32-year-old has been working with celebrity trainer Anderson to stay in shape during her pregnancy, which might end sooner than many think.
Kardashian, who debuted her bare baby bump this weekend, may actually be due in mid-June and not July, according to the New York Post. At a baby shower for fashion stylist stylist Monica Rose, she was allegedly overheard telling a guest that she is due weeks earlier than publicly revealed.

Diddy, Son's Scholarship Drama: Singer Says He Isn't Bothered by the Controversy

diddy son scholarshipAP
Last year, Diddy's son, Justin, received a full $54,000 athletic scholarship to play football at University of California, Los Angeles, but some people didn't take the news as reason to celebrate.

Noting that Diddy is a multi-millionaire (with a net worth of $580 million), some critics argued that the school shouldn't be covering Justin's education and that the money should go to a student who's more in need. Last June, when the complaints were reported, the school defended Justin's full scholarship and Justin himself responded to the issue on hisTwitter page.

"Regardless what circumstances are, I put that work in!!!! PERIOD," one tweet read. "Regardless of what you do in life every1 is gonna have their own opinion. Stay focused, keep that tunnel vision & never 4get why u started."

In a new interview with E! News, Diddy said that the controversy over the scholarship didn't bother his family.

"I wasn't annoyed at all," he said. "I kind of welcomed it, because if he's going to be doing what he's doing, if he's going to be in the city of L.A., he has to be able to handle the pressure. I thought it was a great learning tool for him to be humble, handle it and go out there and prove himself on the field and prove himself at school."

Diddy also shared that his family is working on creating their own financial aid program to help students in the future.

"We'll be announcing our overall scholarship fund, so at the end of the day, it all works out for everybody," he explained.

Justin attended Iona Prep in New Rochelle, N.Y., where he played cornerback and quarterback for the football team and reportedly graduated with a 3.75 GPA.
