Nicki Minaj's Idol Outfit Was Talk Of Twitter During Episode (PHOTO, VIDEO)

Nicki Minaj has received a lot of buzz for her role on "American Idol," mostly connected to her rivalry with fellow judge Mariah Carey. Last night, however, her style was the talk of the town.

When the "Super Bass" singer stepped on the "Idol" stage in a skintight red number, the Twittersphere's jaw dropped. Maybe it was the gaping "boob window"or the short hemline, but people did not seem to react kindly to Nicki's racy ensemble. Here's a taste of the Twitter feedback:

Never mind that Ms. Minaj told Mariah to "Simmer down, sir" during the broadcast (ouch) -- the dress had to be discussed! Strangely enough, we didn't really mind the look -- honestly, hasn't Nicki worn stranger things before? Plus, her slick hairdo and matching red lips were actually pretty cute.

The 30-year-old has already overhauled her style team, but it looks like she'll have to go back to the drawing board if she wants to win over the public's approval. Check out Nicki's head-turning get-up below and tell us what you think. Is it thatbad?
