Forest Whitaker Blasts NYC Deli I Was Falsely Accused of Stealin

Forest Whitaker Blasts NYC Deli I Was Falsely Accused of Stealing Forest Whitaker is furious with a NYC deli ... telling TMZ he was wrongly accused of shoplifting Friday morning ... and even FRISKED IN PUBLIC in a humiliating violation of his rights. Whitaker -- an Academy Award-winning MILLIONAIRE -- says he was on his way out of the Milano Market on the Upper West Side Friday when he was stopped by a deli employee and accused of swiping an item from the shelf. An eyewitness tells TMZ ... the employee proceeded to frisk Whitaker in plain view ... treating him as if he were a common criminal. Shocker, the employee's pat down yielded zilch ... and Forest left the establishment baffled and angry. Whitaker's rep tells TMZ, "This was an upsetting incident given the fact that Forest did nothing more than walk into the deli. What is most unfortunate about this situation is the inappropriate way store employees are treating patrons of their establishment. "Frisking individuals without proof/evidence is a violation of rights." The rep adds, "Forest did not call the authorities at the request of the worker who was in fear of losing his employment. Forest asked that, in the future, the store change their behavior and treat the public in a fair and just manner.”

The pop artist was 31 years old.
Nigerian pop artist Goldie Harvey is dead at 31, according to announcements on the singer's Facebook page.
Her death came Thursday following her trip to Los Angeles for the Grammys. Upon her return, Harvey reportedly complained of a severe headache and was rushed to a hospital in Lagos, Nigeria, where she was later pronounced dead.
"With a deep sense of loss, we announce the shocking death of our darling music star, Goldie Harvey," said Kenny Ogungbe, head of Kennis Music, Harvey's record label, in a statement.
Harvey, born Susan Filani, attended the American music ceremony despite receiving no nominations for the awards. There, she was spotted with R&B singer Ciara at a pre-event party.
Harvey is also known in her home continent for her appearance on Big Brother Africa in 2012, on which she stirred controversy for coming off as too Western to many Nigerians.
On the show, she met Kenyan rapper Prezzo, a musician with whom she had a relationship. Prezzo was on his way to Nigeria to meet with the singer prior to her death.
According to her website, Harvey had won numerous awards in Africa, most recently a special recognition at the Top Naija Music Awards. She was working on a new record, The Africa Invasion Album.

Kim Kardashian's Pregnancy Fashion Is Still Shaky (PHOTOS)

Kim Kardashian is still getting a hang of this "maternity wear" thing.

After weeks of tasteful pencil skirts, drapey layers, sheer tops and overly sexy clubwear, Kim is still a little shaky when it comes to appropriate pregnancy clothes. On Wednesday night, she walked the red carpet at a Topshop store opening wearing an embellished babydoll-style top with a black feathered "skirt" atop leather leggings (a Kardashian classic).

There was nothing inappropriate about the look per se. But someone should remind Kim that as her bottom half grows, so does her, um, upper half. Maybe a tight top with an empire waist wasn't the best idea?

Then again, Kris Jenner was also rocking a questionable ensemble. These things run in the family.

Check out Kimmy's latest look.

Lady Gaga Tour Cancellation Will Cost Millions

Through Jan. 17, the “BTWB” tour had grossed $168.2 million and moved 1.6 million tickets to 85 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore, with Asia, Europe, and South American legs already completed in 2012. The North American leg, which was to wrap the tour and was almost completely sold out, would have likely put the tour at more than $200 million gross, easily in the top 20 tours of all time and probably in the top 15. As it stands, Gaga finished sixth among all touring artists in 2012, with a gross of $125 million and attendance of more than 1.1 million, according to Boxscore.

Artists cancel tours with some regularity, but it's rare to see a popstar of Gaga's caliber have to walk away from such a massive operation. The Civil Wars abruptly canceled their entire tour, offering "internal discord" as justification. But a stadium tour like Gaga's employs well over 100 crew members, not to mention the impact the development will have on both local support staff and top-level partners like Live Nation.

An expert tells MTV that Live Nation will probably suffer the most, as the event company pays huge upfront costs for development that it hopes to recoup over the course of the tour. Though rumors of soft ticket sales have plagued Gaga for some time now, it is not believed that such concerns figured into the decision to scrap the tour.

Despite canceling the tour, Gaga made good on a promise to visit terminally ill 5-year-old fan Kayleigh Gurbynski in Chicago. Photos from that visit are available in the gallery at the bottom of this post.

"After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip," a statement on Gaga's official website read. "She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal."
